Tips to Wearing Contact Lenses
An important part to healthy contact lenses wear is a regular eye examination. Technology Advances in contact lenses have now almost reduced problems previously associated with content lenses. Though, it is still very important you follow the procedure given to you by your eye doctor when wearing and caring for your contact lenses, some simple do's and don'ts:
Contact Lenses - Do
- Constantly follow the wearing schedule recommended by your Optician
- Wash and clean your hands before handling your contact lenses
- Always apply fresh solution for contact lenses cleaning.
- Replace without delay faulty, damaged or dried out contact lenses
- Replace your contact lenses case at least every 3 months
- Handle daily disposable contact lenses as little as possible
- Rub and rinse monthly disposable contact lenses before insertion
- Remember to attend for contact lenses check ups as advised by your Contact Lenses Optician
Contact Lenses - Don't
- Sleep in your contact lenses unless advised by your contact lenses Optician
- Re-use solutions for cleaning contact lenses
- Ever use tap water on your contact lenses
- Wear your contact lenses whilst swimming
- Ignore eye irritation Please always contact your contact lenses Optician if: Your eyes become red and/or irritable
- You have reduced vision in one or both of your eyes
- You have any query at all regarding your lenses
